OCDE – Open and Innovative Government Division

Contexte

The OECD is a global economic forum working with 38member countries and more than 100emerging and developing economies to make better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social wellbeing of people around the world. The Organisation provides a unique forum in which governments work together to share experiences on what drives economic, social and environmental change, seeking solutions to common problems.

The Public Governance Directorate (GOV) supports countries to promote good governance through more strategic, agile and actionoriented public sectors that improve the functioning of national economies and support growth.

As part of GOV, the Open and Innovative Governance Division (OIG) engages in the following streams of work:

  • Comparative and countryspecific work on open government;
  • Comparative and countryspecific work on digital government;
  • Comparative and countryspecific work on innovative policies

In GOV’s Open and Innovative Governance Division (GOV/OIG), the Open Government Unit(OGU) works on a culture of governance that promotes the principles of transparency, integrity, accountability and stakeholder participation in support of democracy and inclusive growth.The work supports governments in designing and implementingpolicies by providing policy advice and recommendations on how to integrate these core principles into public sector reforms.

Missions

GOV/OIGis looking for an intern to assist in the Open Government Unitwork on innovative citizen participationand in particular, a project that the OECD is conducting in collaboration with the European Commission about citizen participation in cohesion policy.The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Innovative Citizen Participation Lead in the Open Government Unit

Support the project on citizen participation in cohesion policyContribute to the organisation of meetings and workshops with the five managing authorities for their respective pilot projects

  • Contribute to public communication efforts about the project Contribute to the drafting of a final report for the project
  • Contribute to the collection,compilation and analysis of data about innovative citizen participation practices in OECD member countries
  • Ensure high quality translation of key texts from English to French related to the innovative citizen participation area of work

Research, Analysis, Drafting and Technical assistance

  • Contribute to commissioning relevant authors for the OECD’s blog Participo
  • Draft and publish content on the blog related to the Innovative Citizen Participation team’s area of work

Support the organisation of the OECD Innovative Citizen Participation Network’s meetings

  • Contribute to the team’s reflections about the meetings’ topics and format
  • Contribute to the organisational aspect of setting up the virtual meetings and provide technical assistance during the meetings Participate in the meeting discussions

Conditions d’exercice

Given the current Covid19 situation, the position would involve working remotely.

The candidate must be from an OECD Member country and located in an OECD Member country during the contract period, and be open to moving to Paris if the Covid19 situation improves during the contract period.
